Back in action!

Hola! so it has been a WHILE! Sometimes it is hard to push through an uninspiring job or living space, but I am working through it! here is the latest:

So I realized that I did not have any words on here about this project so, here ya go!

            When I started using the holga I always forgot to advance the film, I saw what was happening with the two layers of information, tried to make sense of it and that is why I shoot double exposures. The layers of information on one negative really obscures what you are seeing and makes the image less about the subject and more about the color, light, and shapes and their relationship with eachother. I am also fascinated with the way light appears on film, there is a special quality that cannot be translated to any other medium.  Instead of trying to observe, I started creating the images I wanted.
            The images are minimal and hard to date. Simplicity is key in these images, however as simple as they may look the layers of information give it strength to become something worth more than just a glance.
